Global Hawk Drone Aircraft

U.S. Pacific Air Forces is sending an unmanned Global Hawk reconnaissance drone to Japan to help authorities understand the scope of damage from last week's massive earthquake and tsunami.

The Aeritalia F-104S Starfighter was a licensed production Italian version of the Lockheed F-104 Starfighter which served in the Italian Air Force (AMI, Aeronautica Militare Italiana), and was the AMI's mainstay from the late 1960s until the beginning of the 21st Century. The F-104S also served in the Turkish Air Force until the mid-1990s. The F-104S was the final development of the Starfighter line.

AH64A Apache Helicopter

The Boeing AH-64 Apache ( /ˌboʊ.ɪŋ əˈpætʃ.i/) is a four-blade, twin-engine attack helicopter with tailwheel-type landing gear arrangement, and tandem cockpit for a crew of two. The Apache was developed as Model 77 by Hughes Helicopters for the United States Army's Advanced Attack Helicopter program to replace the AH-1 Cobra. First flown on 30 September 1975, the AH-64 features a nose-mounted sensor suite for target acquisition and night vision systems. The Apache is armed with a 30-millimeter (1.2 in) M230 Chain Gun carried between the main landing gear, under the aircraft's forward fuselage. It has four hardpoints mounted on stub-wing pylons, typically carrying a mixture of AGM-114 Hellfire and Hydra 70 rocket pods. The AH-64 also features double- and triple-redundant aircraft systems to improve survivability for the aircraft and crew in combat, as well as improved crash survivability for the pilots.

The emergence of what’s reported to be a new Chinese aircraft with stealth capabilities has provoked negative reactions within the US.

The aircraft in question is the Chengdu J-20 – a type known as the ‘Black Eagle’. As yet unflown, it has so far carried out ground-based trials, according to images that have appeared online in recent days.

The A350 is being designed to compete with the Boeing 777 and the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Airbus says that it will be more fuel-efficient, with up to 8% lower operating cost than the Boeing 787.The launch customer for the A350 is Qatar Airways, which ordered 80 aircraft of all three variants.Development costs are projected to be US$15 billion(€12 billion or £10 billion).The airliner is scheduled to enter into airline service during the second half of 2013.TAM Airlines, and Singapore Airlines are also to be among the first airlines to operate it.
